I’ve just posted a new build for Rekord Buddy 2. This is a recommended update for all users and includes the following changes:

  • FIXED: Some users could not update their rekordbox XML files.

In order to get the update you have 3 solutions:
  • If you can currently launch the app without crashes. Doing so should detect the new build and offer you to upgrade after you click OK on the backup warning.
  • You can also go to the “Rekord Buddy” menu at the top and choose “Check for Updates”.
  • Failing all these, you can log into your account on Next’s website and re-download the installer. It will always contain the latest build.

      No unfortunately not yet but still working on it. The 2.1 beta has a lot of Windows code in it so we’re making progress.

    So… I just purchased the latest version and it does not work. Will not launch! it says that “database format has changed…Contact support@next.audio to figure out why your database was not converted to the new format” trying to convert rekordbox to serato. Hmmm.

      There is a hint on what needs to be done in that message you’re quoting 🙂

      But I’ll save you the email, this is because you used the beta in the past. Beta testers got an email when 2.0 was release explaining that the database would have to be reset when the full version came out. I’m guessing you missed that email back then. Check out the FAQ on how to reset your DB and feel free to contact me via support next time 🙂
