I’ve just posted two new builds for Rekord Buddy 2. These are recommended updates for all users of either 2.0 or the 2.1 beta and includes the following changes:

For 2.0.14(197):

  • FIXED: Some playlists names could cause issues importing from Serato.
  • FIXED: Loop markers with 0 length could cause issues importing from Traktor.
  • FIXED: Errors when saving Serato databases are now reported as a warning.
  • FIXED: Some characters in string properties fro tracks could cause sorting issues.
  • FIXED: Date parsing for some invalid dates and for years with two digits could cause issues.
  • FIXED: Corrupted Serato crate files are now better handled processed.
  • IMPROVED: Supported rekordbox version is now 4.3.0.
  • IMPROVED: Debug log now has even more useful information.
  • IMPROVED: Space bar can now also pause the currently playing track if it is still selected.
  • IMPROVED: Sorting menu now displays quicker and includes all available properties, not just the ones from the playlist.
  • IMPROVED: Sorting menu now separates properties from tags as sorting criterias.

Note: If you are a 2.0 and would like to help beta-test 2.1 below, read this post for more information and a link to download the latest beta build.

For 2.1.0beta(511):

  • FIXED: Some M4A files could have incorrect markers when importing from rekordbox for the first time.
  • FIXED: Skipped an internal database issue with playlists.
  • FIXED: Corrupted Serato crate files are now better handled processed.
  • FIXED: Tracks could be re-imported in some cases when they did not need to be.
  • IMPROVED: Added a preference button in the main window.
  • IMPROVED: Added extra progress bar status to help understand what goes on during import/export.
  • IMPROVED: Parsing tracks now shows the amount of tracks being parsed.

In order to get the update you have 3 solutions:
  • If you can currently launch the app without crashes. Doing so should detect the new build and offer you to upgrade after you click OK on the backup warning.
  • You can also go to the “Rekord Buddy” menu at the top and choose “Check for Updates”.
  • Failing all these, you can log into your account on Next’s website and re-download the installer. It will always contain the latest build.
