This is a known issue that happens for a handful of users.

A temporary workaround is to use the ‘Check For Updates‘ option in the Rekord Buddy 2 menu which seems to work reliably. Also clicking on the App’s icon in the dock may bring update window back at the front.

If you have multiple monitors, even if one of them is switched off, right click on the app’s icon and select ‘Options->Desktop on on Desktop 1‘ to make sure the app opens its windows on the main screen.
